Meet Our Instructors

Reese Stewart is licensed in the state of Florida as a Real Estate Broker and Instructor. He has been a REALTOR® since 1996. Prior to starting his real estate career he served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. Reese has been very active in the Orlando Regional Realtor Association (ORRA). He has served on numerous committees, forums, and task forces at ORRA and also on the ORRA Board of Directors as both a Director and Officer of ORRA. 
C. "Elaine" Deering is a licensed Real Estate Broker-Associate and Instructor, who has been a REALTOR® for 17 years. Throughout that time, she has received various awards and certificates from RMM to Silver Eagle. Elaine has been a Notary and worked in several areas of Real Estate, including being a License Registered Appraisal Trainee and a BPO Specialist. In addition to Real Estate, she is also a substitute teacher, member of various community organizations and association board. Elaine received a B.S. from Florida A&M University, and M.E. from Penn State University.  
Richard Riley

Richard C. Riley is licensed in the state of Florida as a Real Estate Broker and Instructor.  He has been a REALTOR® since 2006.  Currently, he is a Broker Associate with RE/MAX Properties SW in Orlando, FL.  Prior to starting his real estate career he held faculty positions at three University Medical Schools, operated his own company in Brazil for 17 years and spent 12 years in retirement. He also holds a degree in physics from the University of Massachusetts and MPH, MS and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan.

Gary Balanoff is a 30 year veteran of the real estate industry in Central Florida, having sold real estate for that entire time, and serving as broker owner of RE/MAX Select since its founding in 2000. He has served as the only three time vice president and vice chairman of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, and received the ORRA President's Award twice and the Volunteer of the Year award once. After receiving his broker license in 1992, he managed Higgins & Heath Better Homes and Gardens Oviedo office, and the Coldwell Banker Oviedo office before starting RE/MAX Select. Gary holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Florida and served seven years in the news reporting business, having covered everything from the Ted Bundy murder trials to the first 9 Space Shuttle launches to the 1980 Democratic National Convention, and did series on death row, the building of the Space Shuttle, and was capital bureau chief for the Tampa CBS affiliate. Gary is currently licensed as a Florida Real Estate Broker and Instructor. 

Dee Toohey is a Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker and Instructor with over 35 years of technical training experience. Dee has been serving the Central Florida community for over 25 years. She holds several degrees, licenses and designations including a BSBS and MS Business Education from Robert Morris University, Accredited Buyer Representative, At Home With Diversity, ePro, Transnational Referral Certification, Certified REO Specialist, Florida Military Specialist, Risk Management Certification, Gold Key Certification and Certified International Property Specialist.

Dee has served on several Florida Realtors and ORRA committees and forums and she has served on the MLS Advisory Council.


Judy Ramella is a Broker-Associate and was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. Prior to real estate Judy
worked as a Center Supervisor, Behavioral Specialist for Developmental Disabilities
Association of New Jersey, serving the developmentally disabled, duly diagnosed,
behaviorally involved population.

Judy moved to Florida in 1996 and earned her real estate license in 1998. Since
then she has become an International Realtor earning her CIPS designation
(Certified International Property Specialist, AHWD (At Home with Diversity), TRC
(Transnational Referral Certification) and several other designations and

Currently, Judy is the COO of RE/MAX Prestige, licensed Florida real estate
instructor, 2016 President of RAPB + GFLR, NAR Code of Ethics Instructor, Florida
Realtors Board of Director, NAR Board of Director(2018-14) and NAR President’s
Liaison to the United Kingdom(2018-16).

Judy serves on several Local, State and
National Committees. Judy is inspired by serving the Realtor members and the
citizens for their right to home ownership.
Though Judy’s real estate career she has earned several local and state awards.
